Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, the fourth largest in the Americas, and the largest Spanish-speaking nation. Argentina is a mega diverse country  hosting one of the greatest ecosystem varieties in the world.

The average temperature is great during the whole year! It mimics European seasons with the sunny climate, but not overbearing temperatures. Buenos Aires is known as the Paris of South America for good reason. The weather, culture, ambience are all similar to the French capital.

There are great places to eat, soak up the culture and have a great time. Argentina is famous for many things including dancing, amazing cuisine, red wine, and not to forget fiestas! It’s easy to see why it’s the most popular South American TEFL destination, as you can Teach English in Argentina and experiance all these things at the same time.

Buenos Aires has so much to see and do, you’ll be spoilt for choice during your down time! It’s a fast paced life as a TEFL teacher, meaning you’ll see so much of the city whilst you’re working and relaxing.

Living costs are around $800-$1200 per month in Buenos Aires, depending mainly on the type of accommodation and neighbourhood you choose to stay in.

Dining out, cafes, attractions and local shops offer affordable entertainment, with access to some of the most amazing produce in the world for you to cook at home! Apartments come with a fully furnished kitchen, meaning you can keep living costs low so as to explore the heart of Latin America.


All accommodations are regularly checked by our school and are located in very safe buildings, some of them with 24-hour security.

All student housing rooms are fully furnished with a private or shared bathroom, Internet, and use of the common spaces in the house (living room, kitchen, balcony etc…).

The Argentine homes we work with are selected, visited and approved by our staff. We screen all potential housing options to ensure they comply with our expectations of comfort and security. These homes are in safe neighborhoods, centrally located and in the vicinity of our school.

You can book a homestay or shared apartment for minimum 28 nights or 4 weeks and maximum 12 weeks.

Homestay or shared apartment accommodations are normally arranged on a minimum 28-night basis at the rate of 1120 USD for the total 28-night stay. However, extra nights can be added upon request at 55 USD per night. Five extra nights or more will be considered as one week.


It all comes down to where you decide to live and work, following the course! You’ll have assistance from the team to ensure you have your new, more permanent accommodation secured, ready for the time you begin teaching.

Rent in Buenos Aires comes to around $450-$500 USD per month in a large shared apartment. It’s easy to find local accommodations once you’re in the city.

  • Course format

This course a 120 hour, 4 week TEFL certification. It’s intensive and includes many teaching practises and planning sessions. You can earn University credits with this TEFL program.

  • Teaching practices

You’ll have at least 10 hours of teaching practicals throughout the course. Each day you’ll also be lesson planning and studying new teaching methods.

  • Type of assessment

You’ll be assessed continually throughout the 4 weeks training with observances from your trainers and peers. There are 2 exams throughout the course.

  • Course location and centre

The training centre is located in one of the best neighbourhoods in Argentina. The address is Avenida Coronel Diaz 1736, 1425 Caba. There is so much to see and do on your doorstep.

  • Requirements

The age requirement is generally 18 to 65 years old, however we welcome all applications on a case by case basis.There is no need to have a bachelors degree or any previous experience.

  • Job market and employment possibility

There’s a good demand for TEFL teachers in Buenos Aires. Outside of the city, our team work with you to find jobs where you’d like to work

  • Visa Requirements

You’ll enter Argentina on a 90 day, visa on arrival. Following the course, your employer will assist you with renewing your visa.

There’s a huge demand for English language teachers in Buenos Aires! You’d expect to work for a private language centre or agency, offering lessons to people between kindergarten and adult ages.

You’ll be teaching 25 hours per weeks, with time between planning lessons, travelling between businesses, grading assignments and so on.

Hiring is year round, with no real peak season. The only time employers take off each year is their summer, in January. It’s important to bear this in mind when planning your TEFL course. Unless you fancy a month’s travelling in between the course and beginning work! Then it’s the ideal situation.

You can expect to earn $950 – $1700 USD per month depending on job type and hours worked. This is a comfortable salary to live on each month in Buenos Aires. You can teach English in Argentina and see the country.
